      Re: 300 ml jug?

I use the 300ml & 600ml CP jug that came with my barista starter kit. Also bought a 1ltr from House and the spout on that isnt as good.

It amazed me that Tim Adams turned up to train me with a 300ml CP jug just like mine so they must be alright. Well priced too.

Latte art is coming along with the 300 & 600 too... I just need more practice!

Aside from Billy (hi billy) is anyone having any luck with the 300ml incasa for latte art?

I just switched from 600ml to 300ml jug and Im not liking the pour spout, its a bit shallow...
Yeah, I have no probs, but it is a small short spout.

Hard to explain how I work it, I guess I would say the speed of the pour is very important and getting the spout low in the cup, real close, seems to help a lot.

This jug works a treat at home on my Sunbeam. But is bloody hard to use on a commercial machine.

        Great splitting jug too.

Morning all, looking for a good 300 ml stainless milk jug, the one Im using is almost 700 ml and I find it too wasteful, most of my requirements are for 1 or 2 drinks.
I had the same issue, however if i use a small jug my thermometer doesnt sit comfortably (making it hard to texture the milk) so im stuck using a large jug and wasting milk each time.

Does your thermometer have the big metal clip like this? http://www.coffeeparts.com/accessories/thermometers.html Mine did too but it also came with a little plastic sleave with a pen type clip on it? Did yours? My hands cant read the temperature very well (They were burning at 50!!!) and Tim Adams modified mine during my training so that it sits straight up in the jug. Works great.

Just take off the metal clip, chop a bit off the bottom of the plastic sleve with a knife and its all done. I can now texture the milk without a whopping great big dial in the way and I can slowly adjust my hands to the right temperature. Would you like a photo to see the results?????

Im not sure if this mod is common knowledge but its helped me. Big thanks to Tim! (Im probably driving you all nuts about the training but I learnt so much in such a short amount of time, its well worth it)

My thermometer sits comfortably on any jug- even my 100ml piccolo jug...Actually, its sits pretty comfortably on the end of my arm as well  ;D

Ive got a couple of 30ml ones.

You have to be really careful trying to steam in those for a macchiato.

                    EDIT: Picture added.
30ml jugs can bee seen on top of the Expobar in front of the 200ml cups.
