As long as there is at least one you should be OK with some practice. ;D 8-)

Similar to BF I recently got an NS Oscar with has tonnes of steam. Came with a 4-hole tip which I struggled with for a couple of weeks....just too much steam for my skill level Eventually gave up and got myself a 2-hole tip. Nice creamy microfoam again.

The best one is the one you get the best results from

I have been using small domestic machines until recently with single or in the case of my Pavoni 3 holes with only moderate amounts of steam available. Making consistantly good microfoam or capps as needed. I did try blocking one of the 3 holes on the pav with some improvement to the whirlpooling but I have gone back to 3 holes and got used to it.

Recently got a commercial with mega steam and a 4 hole tip and I am still coming to terms with it. So much steam and power in small jugs takes a lot to control so less holes may help here but the number of milkshakes :P are decreasing.

So which one is better ? Just got to keep practicing with your machine and the number of holes is not that important
