It holds a LITRE of milk... thats a LOT of milk!

It looks interesting, and I would like to give it a try, but it seems that while spinning the milk is good, circulating it vertically like the Toroid pitcher accomplishes would be superior. Additionally, I think it is designed to work with single-hole tips.

Looks like he was doing good milk but certainly not "perfect milk" I would put it in the nice try basket but like randy I would also like to give it a go.

        I concur....

His focus appears to be on improving consistency of milk; such that training and staff turnover does not have a major impact on the quality of teh coffee being sold / produced.

I think the Latte art is the marketing focus to get around lack of passion.....

1: Many coffee shops do not understand good texturing and if sold / marketed with this in mind... Many would just ignore it...

2: Now with more people seeing and wanting to see Latte art etc... That same coffee shop that does not understand texturing... Will jump at the chance to to grab this as they can see that it might help them produce Latte art.

        Outcome = sales

        Flow on =

1: For some places, it may actually improve their coffee
2: Some staff will get even lazier
3: Some coffee chains could take it up

Na not for me... A good gimmick and I wish them well... If people get a better coffee from it... Then thats a plus.

I want to be able to make textured milk when and where ever I am. KKs post and method is simple enough and works well.

For the purpose of the untrained seasonal staff, I think it would be a good idea - esp.ly since we do bust out the 1lt jug through the day and it can be hard to get the right texture in the larger size. Anything that stops SallyNewbie mushrooming a big bucket of milk is ok by me... next question: how much?

$40~ aussie, before shipping. Would probably pay for itself, depending on how bad the milkwork was previously and how much the improvement translates into increased sales. I guess.

                I smell gimick! :

                1. his shots look like crap......stale thin coffee

                2. For a person attempting to sell a latte art/milk texture "improving" jug, his art stinks, not saying that its all about the art, but if your selling it.......also the movie of him texturing.....the milk looks like a milkshake

                3. One thing i dont like about the design is the fact that its in two pieces, creating gaps and hidy holes for milk to ferment and stink.....

On the other hand i would be interesting to see if it actually works, or whether it is in fact a gimmick......

I agree with 2...my art is better.
His milk was too thick from the looks of his art.

And spinning isnt everything which is obvious by the thickness of his milk; he got too much air in.

Please ignore the size of the pitcher.

                      Whats interesting is the CONCEPT.

I can foam milk quite consistently now, but even then, Ill struggle with odd volumes.

His discovery is just so absurdly simple, and if it helps milk spin faster, imagine what it would do for people with low powered thermoblock machines like me. Better quality foam on lower quality equipment!

CONCEPTS are interesting but what we are interested in is results, I can actually get excellent results from low power thermoblock machines with a small jug. Price about $15 available anywhere.

Thinking about it further I doubt that the design would help with your machine anyway as the problem is the actual steam power of the machine. Good technique will outperform these "improvements" every time. (IMHO)

Ever thought what the results could be like with:

                          Good Technique + Technological Improvement?

                          Flawless microfoam every time.

I can pour rosettas about 80% of the time now with my 6910, but wouldnt it be great if it were 100% instead?

100%? buy one and prove us wrong ;D

Im just saying if the guy selling the item isnt getting good results......then who will?

IMHO there are way too many variables in milk texturing to get 100% perfectly textured milk......100% of the time. Milk age, temperature, fat and protein content, humidity etc etc etc play a bigger part in glossy milk as far as im concerned......

But id love to see the results if you were to purchase said item..

[edit]ive just noticed that it only comes as a 1lt, prolly a bit big for the 6910, ya could fabricate the item out of a cheap standard milk jug and some stainless tube.......[/edit]

Marketing scccchpiel if you ask me....

Design a different looking jug and they will come...

Who wants my handleless jug which imparts a corkscrew action on the milk as it pours into the cup? How you say? Useful as what on a what??  :-?

I guess that makes it the perfect jug. Now where can I get me some snake oil? :
