    Is there a method to pour milk so that the crema speads evenly across the cup rather than just moving around like an oil slick?

    I usually get this right however at other times for no apparent reason the crema breaks up.

    Is this more likely the quality of the crema I am getting or my milk pouring technique?

    Yes and yes, number one check your technique against youtube and if you feel that is ok then you need to look at your coffee. Age and type of coffee will affect crema, also the cup you are pouring into affects how easy it is to lift the crema up.

      Such a great resource when it comes to copying technique, so are scottie Callaghans vids....here;

      Youll notice he does a bit of "figure 8"ing prior to starting his art, this blends the creama and gives you a canvas to start......
