I have been using Pura milk for ages and havent had any problems with it until lately. Within the past month I have had 2 bad lots that were probably OK for anything except hot drinks.
The milk had a slight off smell to it but nothing I would usually worry about. However, when you heat it to 65C and add it to fresh coffee, it accentuates the "off" taste to the point that the coffee is undrinkable.
Unfortunately, the last lot was a 3 litre container and seeing as I am the only one who drinks full cream milk, it was only good for practicing my crap rosettas or pouring down the sink.
I was reluctant to take it back to the supermarket because I was the only one who could smell anything wrong with it. I have since changed to A2 and havent had a problem.
What would you do in this situation? Take it back and face the possible embarassment of being told that you were full of it and there is nothing wrong with the milk, or chuck it out?
