Consider the spout as the brush for your awaiting canvas of artwork....

If you want fine detail, you need a fine brush.

And the sweet liquid chromed milk as your paint...your perfectly extracted espresso is your canvas.

Theres a really interesting jug that will be on the market soon. Brought to you by the same guys who make Espro.

That looks to be perfect for my frothing style there Wushoes. Given the steaming power of the Cimbali, its steam tip style, and the small quantities of milk I froth I already froth in a toroid. Ive been keeping my eyes open for a good bell bottomed pitcher in a small and medium size for some time now as my current pitcher is straight sided and it seems an obvious conclusion that a bell bottomed one would work much better for doing a toroid froth.

And here lies another clue for the path of latte art perfection.

                          Can anyone figure it out??

It comes down to practice and lots of it. Lots and lots and lots!

(I recall reading that Scott Callaghan (sp?) spent 6 hours a day practising for the championships. I dont even know of any swimming athlete that would do that much training... )

6 hours a day? I guess you could say working in a cafe would be 8 hours a day practice though.

Yep, quite correct, Jimmyb. Personally I work at it for about 6 hours a day on average. Though Im not sure if Scott was just training for himself or if he was actually working at the time in the leadup to the championships. The article I was reading on him gave me the impression that he was just training for the six weeks prior to the championships.

Hazel doesnt work in a cafe.
Ive seen a table full of coffees when shes been training for a competition.
