You see with me, I am totally fine at drinking milk straight from a glass. But if I have coffee with milk, my stomach plays up for some reason, I noticed this after a couple of months. Then my brother told me maybe I should try it with soy, and from there I have never turned back to normal milk with coffee!
I agree with your number 1 choice, Bonsoy is the best out of other soy brands for coffee. The soy taste is not as strong as well and is much smoother, so now I always use Bonsoy with my coffee at home.

At an early age I was diagnosed as being acutely allergic to dairy AND wheat, dairy being the worse of the two. Apparently I have anti-bodies in my blood that choose to aggressively attack the stuff should it enter my body.
So I have a LOT of experience with soy milk.
When I was a kid I used to swear by Sungold Soy Milk - it really was soooooooo good. However, ~half way through primary school they changed their ingredients to include malt (derived from wheat...). So I had to look around. After trialing a number of "organic" (meaning "tastes like animal fieces") I then arrived at rice milk, and stayed with rice milk up until I found espresso.
Now since starting my coffee-life, I have searched around for the best additive to espresso. Here is what (after a LOT of experience) I have found:
1. Bonsoy: Is awesome...if you can afford it. I find it compliments espresso very well, doesn't over power the cup as some others do, and perfectly froths. It also is made up of really good (healthy) ingredients.
2. So Good Barista: Also is made up of good ingredients. Froths well. Taste is a little over-powering in the cup, but overall is pretty good.
3. Vitasoy Soy-Milky: the current iteration of this (and yes there has been a few) is ok. It's far too thick (full version) for my liking, and distracts from the taste of espresso as opposed to complimenting it. The Lite version isn't much better, if you can stomach it's poorer taste. Both froth ok.
4. Aldi Soy (I've completely forgotten the brand name, but there's only one they stock anyway): it's cheap, at around $1.50/L. It's not that bad, and in fact some batches were actually pretty good. Those good batches frothed well, and maintained the taste of espresso in the cup. HOWEVER, each and every batch is inconsistently made, and so every week you would need to adjust your technique to compensate for it. Some weeks though no matter what you did it was just plain crap - bad froth, bad taste. And the ingredients aren't exactly the healthiest, having a lot of additives.
5. Coles Brand Soy (full): At $1.61 now you'd expect this to perform fairly poorly. BUT! to me, this milk is almost as good as Bonsoy, and for a 3rd the price. It froths very well, and in the cup more than allows the driving espresso through. It certainly surprised me at first, so I went back for more. It's consistency is also very good. To me the only real issue is that I now have to get in early before Coles sells out - which tells me I'm not the only one who thinks it's good. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS! (The Lite version however can stay on the shelf...) Oh, and the ingredients aren't the greatest, but ok.
I should also note that I couldn't really find any difference between the long-life and non-long life versions (of all milks). As long as you pre-fridge the milk anyway (i.e. don't go straight from pantry to milk jug), it all ends up the same.

Aaron, nice find with the Coles brand soy milk. I like to use bonsoy for my latte's but tried this morning. Texturing is easy and the consistency is very smooth. The soy taste isnt too strong either, nice work man!!!

I've found Vitasoy Cafe at the weirdest place... an "On the Run" servo on Brighton Rd, Brighton, SA. At $3.49 it's not super expensive either!

I'm surprised no ones jumped on the is bonsoy irradiated thread ? From memory the majority of soy beans that Japan consumes are sourced externally anyway - but even if it was irradiated I'd still probably drink it coz nothing else tastes as good!

Watched a program recently re "Energised water" it's a complete load of bunkum.
Energized Water: pseudoscientific snake oil
A quote from the above site.
These claims are bunk; there is no scientific evidence that water can be "energized", re-structured, or otherwise altered by filters or external forces.

it comes from Switzerland perhaps they use the Large Hadron Collider to energise the water

It's from Switzerland and is called Soyana Swiss Soy Drink Natural. And the best bit is it froths superbly!! Worth trying!!
