    Re: Dairy Farmers Crema

yeh df crema would have to be the worst milk i have used to make coffee with.....the taste is ok but the texturing nowhere near as good as normal df milk

I think that the riverina fresh milk that I used when living in sth nsw was the best .....

Old thread but just wanted to say, Ive used DF Crema in a cafe and I really dont like this stuff. Maybe its just my skills but this stuff just doesnt hold a froth long enough (as in froth dissipates).

Apparently the A2 milk is good, but havent tried it myself
I use this at home and can vouch it is one of the best milk or milk for coffee Ive used. The taste is just a lot closer to fresh milk you get in the countryside raw and ever since Ive switched to it, I got a lot of guests complementing on the smooth froth it makes (and Im not one of those great baristas )

Dairy Farmers but they said they just send it to warehouses.
Not sure if NSW is the same as Vic but certainly in country areas we have smaller locally based milk distributors that sell to Milkbars etc. If you find a smaller one they may be prepared to sell you it at a few containers at a time or even ask your local milkbar to ask on your behalf. Personally I have tried a couple of the Cafe type milks and with decent technique on standard milk I get equal or better results.

I have no idea where to get it anymore (used to be at coles). Just as a side note, I use the UHT Lidells Lactose free milk (its just got an added enzyme, so tastes the same as normal milk) and it froths fantastically (Im lactose intolerant, but noone I know who has tasted it can tell the difference with "regular" milk), so it might be worth a try. My local coffee joint believe its as good as the Crema to work with as well.

Also, Im not just saying it tastes the same without comparing - I only became lactose intolerant in the last 5 years.

Apparently the A2 milk is good, but havent tried it myself.

Edit: just had a thought regarding the Crema milk - Have you tried calling Bidvest?

    Hey everyone,

im a new member and ive got a question, ive recently had a coffee from the Central Coast of NSW at Cove Restaurant at Terrigal and they use Dairy Farmers Crema to make their coffee. My question is, where can i buy the Crema milk from? Ive looked in the Coles at Broadway in Sydney and also at Randwick but havent had any luck. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks.
After quite a bit of detective work managed to get a 4 litre container from my local milk vendor a while back, as Moto Coffee says it is more expensive and as far as Im concerned no better than normal milk, certainly not worth the extra $.

Pretty sure that its only available to cafes (feel free to correct me if Im wrong). Might need to find a cafe that uses it and ask to buy some, and it wont be cheap either btw.

    Cheers
