I made one coffee for me and one for my wife couldn't finish it before she knew I had ran out out our usual Coles lite milk

The milk does not contain any Genetically Modified Material.
The term "Modified Milk Product" refers to the standardisation of the fat and protein levels of the milk.

    Hello Jason

Where possible, we try to avoid using GM foods at home, though feel compelled to provide some balance to your argument. The scientist you refer to who has condemned the use of GM foods has used tests where,

    a) The doses given to rats were equivalent to megadoses that were well outside the normal range of consumption, and,
    b) His findings have not been peer reviewed.

If you live in Australia and eat any wheat products, I must advise you that our wheat has been genetically modified. If you eat fruit (a good example is strawberries) then these too have been genetically modified. I could go on...

    Welcome to CS!

    WARNING!!!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and finally decided to give it a try, then i noticed on the back of the carton it said "Modified Milk Product". This sounded like it could mean Genetically Modified (GM), so I phoned the producers (Devondale) to ask them if this was the case, and surprisingly they actually told me that ALL their products contain GM ingredients. I poured the carton straight down the sink and decided to stay well clear of it!

For anyone not sure why GM products should be avoided there's plenty of articles online, but one that stands out is about a scientist "Arpad Pusztai" just type his name into google and have a read.

It makes very dense microfoam. I love it. Perfect for making cappuccino!.

I was pleasantly surprised with it. My usual milk is A2 light, so this is cheaper when on special and, as others have mentioned, good for keeping in-stock when i've forgotten to buy A2.

I've used 2 of the 3 litres I bought. I don't like the taste. I usually use Pura blue top milk as a comparison

I have to agree re the taste. I have used other UHT milks a few times too, and that "scalded" taste always comes though. As TG said, it is not really unpleasant, but not right either.

    Tried it once.
Taste is not unpleasant but not quite right; OK for emergencies (but haven't boiught another for the pantry yet).
Does stretch easily, possibly too easily; did get a bit frothy.

Bought a carton the other day, it definitely stretches well, but i'm not the biggest fan of the UHT taste. Worth trying at least once, it goes on special for $1 pretty often.

I have to say for the price its good, for the texture it was also good, however the taste leaves for me an strange but not completely unpleasant feel in my mouth. I tried its 50/50 with the other milk i use and like you Lemoo i also have some aside for a rainy day.

texture performance is surprisingly very good for uht milk, i'm not sure what the difference is but it steams better than the standard uht ones

the taste isn't unpleasant but no where as good as fresh
i cant think what it is but its just not the same as fresh milk

i keep some in my pantry for emergencies

I tried it last week when the waif brought some home from the supermarket. It tasted fine but it must be protein enriched because it stretched to double its volume in the first 5 seconds of steaming!!! It was a bit of a challenge to get it hot enough before it overflowed the jug. Very dense micro-foam so would be great if you're a cappucino fan
