Re: expobar no burn wand
Yep, thats the new one.
Im going to persevere with the old one the Lev has rather than fork over $40 for a whole new wand.

Re: expobar no burn wand
Not sure.
Its a 2 hole no burn wand that came as standard with the Expobar Minore II.
Its not like the one in the pictures of the Minore II on the site and on Talk Coffee, and all over Google, but it is VERY MUCH like the one in this thread

Re: expobar no burn wand
krusty,
Is it the 2 hole tip?
I have been getting pretty good results with mine.
300ml jug (half full) seems to take me around 15-20 seconds (havent done an actual timing, just did one during a shot pour last week and beat it).
When I started, coming from a Silvia, I found that I was all over the place. Chris gave me a demo at one on the bean pickups using a similar powered machine and wand. Ive come to realise that I should not fiddle too much. The best results Ive had recently have been due to a very steady hand, good starting position and good whirlpool.
Ive also found that it only seems to need a very small amount of air let into the milk at the start.
Hope that makes sense and is of some use.

expobar no burn wand
fellow milk frothers,
i was pretty good (so i thought) at frothing the milk with the standard expobar wand, so i went and got myself a pretty new piece of kit, to throw me out again.
so now i have my no-burn wand, with the chunky tip, and my frothing has taken a large step in the wrong direction.....
i am getting ok milk, but the foam is certainly not microfoam, and has meduim size bubbles, and not enough froth for caps.... frothing for 1 in a small jug takes about 10secs and i think this is part of the problem....
so, is there a different tip, with smaller holes i can get? other than blocking one hole with a toothpick, what else is there?
cheers,Tags: None
