There are a lot of people that either can't have cows milk or can't stand it, I'm in the can't stand it, so instead of soy I have Oat milk. It's by far so much nicer than Soy. This is why people like to try different things to try and get a nicer tasting coffee for the people who hate cows milk.

I'm a purist as far as milk goes,
For me, milk by definition is water with a little bit of fat in it, from mammals.
When you start taking out the mammal and/ or fat parts, it's no longer "milk"
Still trying to convince my friends' wives to provide me some of their milk to make a latte out of..... :P

Not for me...
I don't use a lot of milk but when I do, I want the real stuff and preferably one that supports our local dairies...

Yeah... make mine milk please Yelta! ;-)
I wonder which nut will be next?
This in an email received earlier this week:
"Almond Breeze Barista
will be front and centre at this year’s
Fine Food Australia Exhibition!
We’re thrilled to announce that Almond Breeze will host a stand at the event, showcasing our newest product, Almond Breeze Barista Blend. Almond Breeze Barista Blend is Australia’s first almond milk specially formulated for baristas in partnership with some of Australia’s leading baristas.
The launch of the new Almond Breeze Barista Blend is a direct response to the significant growth of the almond milk category. In the last 12 months the almond milk category has grown substantially and now accounts for 25 per cent* of all non-dairy milks sold today. Through working closely with baristas and café owners, we learnt that consumers are increasingly requesting almond milk in their lattes and cappuccinos. Accordingly, we developed a quality product that performs just like milk, complements good coffee and provides consistency when frothing, which is key to visual appeal.
Baristas will be helping us demonstrate how simple it is to create the perfect latte using Almond Breeze Barista Blend, they’ll also be available to answer your questions and provide tips - so be sure to come by and say hello!
Almond Breeze is a product of Blue Diamond and working with almonds is our area of expertise – it’s in our DNA. That means we really understand how almonds work and can complement other foods and fine coffee."

Ha, the last sentence in this article speaks volumes.
As I'm sure most of us are aware, "milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk last time I checked almonds were not classified as mammals, regardless, the author of the article Matt Holden certainly seemed a little underwhelmed.

PS for what it's worth, seems we are now over soy milk.
