Metalic milk

Hi guys im getting a metalic taste to my milk I have astate of the art ECM technika espresso machine.
I think its the jug?

Basically when i make the foam and taste it before it goes into my coffee it has a slight metalic taste. Its an Incafe 30 dollar pitcher. Stainless steel.
Ive tried other brands of milk still no change.
Any suggestions?

Are you tasting the milk while it is in the jug?

Have you tasted the water that comes out of your boiler (after allowing it to cool)?

Never mind what it tastes like in the milk jug. How does it taste when in the cup? If it's alrighht, no problem.

Are you tasting the milk while it is in the jug?

Have you tasted the water that comes out of your boiler (after allowing it to cool)?

This is a good suggestion to start the elimination process. If there's some sort of contamination issue in your boiler water, or a mineral build up this could be a cause.

Also try pulling a litre or so of hot water from the boiler, allowing it to refill with fresh.

Lastly, to rule out the jug, get a large crockery mug, steam some milk in that, and taste.

My guess is that cycling the boiler water will clear it up. If you rarely use the hot water tap, the water in the steam boiler gets more and more saturated with minerals over time.
