    For those who dont have a probe like Mal mentioned do a little experimenting. Use the same cup and amount of milk each time. A few runs should give you the proper power and time settings to use. Microwaves are very consistent so if you keep all the other variables consistent the same time/power settings can then be used from then on with good results.
    Sorry for being Hi-Tech guys, thought most new m/waves have the little temp probe (Ours is just a little cheapie and it came with one). Truth is, I only used it once to get the time right, power was/is at 100% so really, it was just an extension of the procedure Java has outlined above. I just thought that this aspect of what to do was obvious :-?.... obviously not :-[.
