Re: Loving Texturing Now that Ive Almost got it!

This was a bit of a fluke and it took a good two weeks of practice to start being able to repeat it consistently... Im probably 80% to a consistent rosetta Id say.

I started playing around with the steam tip angle and its soo much easier now. I was basically fighting my machine for microfoam!

Its good now to just be able to pour a shot and 9 times out of 10 know Im going to froth some good milk, where as before it was suds on top and milk at the bottom. Its like the last piece in the puzzle.

However Im sure with most skills this is around the time I come full circle and start to feel a novice again

How cool! Ive mastered the ultra-fine microfoam on my home machine (took a bit of practise to not be too thick for art), but havent much of a clue as to the art technique yet. I seem to get a lot of atomic bombs. ;D Youre way ahead of me. 8-)

    Yey.

Day was off to a bad start, no internet in the office so I came home to work at home. I thought Id make a quick coffee so let the machine warm up over the next 30 minutes, pulled an okay shot though not the best and thought that Id have milk with it because of its bad-ness. So chucked a little Pura light start in the jug and went to town.

I got this. This cup is good for about 100mL and is about 7cm wide at the mouth. I shouldve cleaned it before taking photos, but this is about a minute after the pour.

    N.B.

    Gday ozzyaaron,

Can you keep image size to a maximum of 640x480 pixels please mate? Anything larger can be difficult to view easily in most browsers and older monitors.....

If you are unsure about how to easily resize your images,
this link will hopefully assist .

    Thanks,
    Mal.

Loving Texturing Now that Ive Almost got it!

I have been practicing my milk texturing a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks lately on both a Breville Ikon (400) and a Sunbeam Cafe Espresso (EM3800) with full cream, hilo and pura (love the pura) milk... I am getting much better and just steamed a jug that was the best yet.

I was so excited about it, I had to post here

I have started trying to get rosettas on my coffee but it seems that my milk is too thick, but hopefully within the next couple of weeks Ill have a nice example

Just very excited by this whole coffee thing!
Working...
