http://business.theage.com.au/business/govt-unveils-42b-stimulus-20090203-7w6v.html
[snip]
The spending package, over the next four years, includes $28.8 billion for infrastructure, schools and housing, as well as $12.7 billion cash payments. The payments include one-off bonus payments of $950 each for low- and middle-income households and individuals through five bonuses, to be paid in March, 2009
[/snip]
But as with some others, were not eligible, so no stimulus driven upgrades for us.
*EDIT* Hmm, perhaps we are eligible for some of it. The last one was linked to the Family Tax Benefit, but this one seems to be based on annual income.
Anyhow, I thought a stimulus package was a bag of beans that had robusta in them!

Re: Whose buying coffee stuff with their stimulus?
Do we have a dancing in the streets emoticon? Got my Home Barista course booked already.
Ill be trawling the old threads looking for a $500-$600 machine, I might hang off grabbing the $150 grinder, maybe look to spend double that. BeanBay will be sure to get a visit.
Just got to run my plans by the treasurer....the real one, not Swannie. Shell probably want to waste it on something like a holiday, or food or clothes or something like that.
My sympathies to those who always seem to fall through the mesh. Im fortunate enough that Ill probably do ok out of it.

Re: Whose buying coffee stuff with their stimulus?
I feel for those who dont qualify, weve been in the "just miss out" boat for most of our married life, and now because of that have the pleasure of fully paying for a living away from home Uni student. Not to mention the 16 year old, 61" food demolition unit.
Anyone willing to adopt one of these money pits to qualify you for a bonus, please PM me
This bonus is very much that, a bonus we can spend (almost) without guilt on something that would otherwise not be considered.
Once again, commiserations to those who miss out.
