    Ok an update

I went with Polyester bats in the ceiling

    Will be fitted next week
    We did too.... 8-)

Do a great job and none of the downsides of f/glass batts or any of the organic options.... These all break down over time and leave a residue which will find its way into your house, one way or another. Encapsulated f/glass is good but costs a lot more unfortunately....

started a topic Insulation Which One to Choose

    Insulation Which One to Choose

    Government Rebates for roof insulation
Some conditions apply but in a nutshell this is what it is

Insulate Your Home Now! Up To $1600 In Free Insulation!

    * Save $200 plus off your energy bill this winter
    * Enjoy the comfort of a warmer home
    * Do your bit to help the economy & environment

My question is which is the better insulation
I need 165 mt sq for my roof space
    So far looked into getting

    1) Fibreglass or Earth Wool
Comes in at + $300 in out of pocket expenses

    2) Sheep Wool
Huge difference in price for sheep wool @ $3000 out of pocket extra

Although I have read the for and against both types of insulation

I like the fact that wool breaths but at what cost and is it worth the extra

Any other good insulation ideas & products for me to look at

NOTE: It must be heavy as I have a Cardiff Air system (huge fan in the ceiling) & dont want the stuff to blow around in the roof space

My focus is to keep heat out and control humidity in our QLD weather & keep heat in 6 weeks of the year
