Never mind those coming at you... If it over took you... I would crap my self for a moment or two...
Would like to think the trafic on the road was planned.. But think not...
I would like to know what happened at the end... Did he stop or slide up under the car that hit the breaks suddnley
Maby a training run for those mad people that do those silly ice runs at teh Olympic games...

Re: This is insane
I was watching this incredibly insane person from the perspective of some downhill skateboard stupidity when I was young where we had learnt the problem is not oncoming traffic but the traffic you catch up to and need to overtake. I couldnt believe it when he did catch up to traffic...but then they cut what actually happens...bummer.
This guy has given me a new perspective to what we did. We were pussies.

Re: This is insane
Theres a lane almost opposite Cofee Alchemy.
It starts at the top of the hill in Enmore as Fotheringham St and finishes in Marrickville as Fotheringham Lane.
The first 3-400 meters as the St there wasnt a problem screaming along in my mate Regs billycart, but then you meet the first crosss street where it becomes the lane and there are 2 more cross streets before you reach the end after another 3-400 meters.
We were about 11 years old back then.
Reg used to lean forward as we reached the cross streets and look for traffic; if there was none it was full steam ahead and hopefully we made it all the way to the bottom without having to stop; a full say 800 metres at full speed.
However, occasionally thered be a car coming and we both had to hit the brakes.
Reg by pushing both feet against the front wheels and me in the back pulling hard on the two rear hand brakes that levered against the back wheels.
Wed skid to a halt (cursing) and either continue to the bottom or turn around and go back to the top for hopefully a clean run.
Madness!! But fun.
