  • Re: What do Coffee Snobs do for a crust

I work as a Network guy at an IT integrator in North Sydney - a great small company that goes good work (which was a refreshing change, after 3.5 years at a big Three Letter Acronym). Currently expanding, so if there are any good Cisco/Windows people looking to move on, send me a PM

Im interested in Home Theatre (currently have Rotel & Krix hit, w/ Pioneer plasma - previously was a CRT projector), and Cars (Golf MkV 2.0 TDI, so interested in VW & Audis. Good to see some VAG guys here too (2mcm & DaveR32).

Ive been renewing my interest in coffee, and started by looking for a new machine... about a week ago. Tonight I roasted my first batch of greens, and still havent decided what machine to get

Well, I work at a college (grades 11 & 12 for you ppl from the big island) as a chaplain. I have been there for 2 & 1/2 years (i think) and I really love it!

I basically sit around all day hanging out with young people, talking to them about whatever they want to talk about and being there for them when things go a bit wrong.

I also organise lots of different activities to help ppl think about more than just themselves. Some of these things are:
-A photography competition with various themes (spirit, life is a journey)
-Running a mobile phones for water (through Water Aid Aus) program where kids drop in their old/dead mobile to be recycled (water aid gets $5 for each phone donated)
-Running coffee appreciation sessions (this one is particularly hard!!)
            etc etc

So there you go... Now you know a little more about me

Well, this seems like a good spot for my first post...
Im a radiographer working for a private company in a public hospital and I really enjoy my job
We have a Saeco automatic espresso machine in our staffroom, which got me hooked on coffee.  Thanks to another forum member whom I know, I have developed a stronger interest in the last unregulated, legal drug still available.
Now its time to buy my own setup (isnt that right Mike?)
Otherwise Im a car nut and Ive found theres a bit of crossover with the ozaudi forums here...I like all things German.

Hi.  I also might as well begin here...
I am a stay at home mum who talked my partner in to the $400 sunbeam machine after doing a coffee at home course at William Angliss- I was out for coffee 3 or 4 times a day (and not all of it good), so it was a good investment!
After needing the machine replaced for a second time in 13 months, I have upgraded to the EM6910 and Im very excited!!
Im not sure if Ill have anything to contribute to such knowledgeable coffee discussions, but Im loving reading it all.
And Im fast becoming a coffee snob!

Coffee drinking is prerequisite for control room work

Hi, I am a boilermaker/welder in Melbourne who loves to fish and cook good food,my wife thinks I should have been a chef, but I think if you take something you love and make it your career you might end up hating it.
