Im a paramedic and agree whole heartedly with the less stress in the life of a fireman...They eat, sleep and train in the gym most of the time...We wake them up once in a while to help us lift large people.....and cut cars up
It sure beats working for a living :P
Im a firefighter with the NSWFB and can definitely agree with this! Great job and great lifestyle. Dont have to take your work home with you and can drive around for the best coffee ;-)
I can even credit the job with turning me into a coffeesnob...
Ive been through all the pages in this thread and it looks like I might be the first person in my specialty.
I work as a swimming pool technician for a big pool franchise in Eastern Vic. Not the franchisee, just the one that does all the work!!
Was studying mechanical engineering after getting out of year 12, but after 2 years of uni that I absolutely hated, I got out and started working full time. Only reason I stayed was because the folks forced me. As a result I sorta got kicked out of home!
Really want to do an apprenticeship at the end of the year, just not sure in which field. Either electrical or carpentry. Always loved playing with electrics. Had a brand new car at the start of 2008 and had all seats and the dashboard out of it, disassembled and put back together about 4 weeks after I got it! But then again, I always love seeing how things go together, hence the interest in carpentry. Looking to start a business eventually. So much confusion .
Its great to see the diversity of careers at CS. And even more interesting to see what the regular posters do behind the scenes!! (And how they can afford their prescriptions for upgraditis!!)
