Re: CSers Pets
We have a new addition...viewed here with our 5 year old girl...he is a little ripper and will end up eating us out of house and home given how big his dad is!! The girl is a long hair and the little bloke is a medium hair.

Re: CSers Pets
My 13 yr old Mike has a yellow bellied green tree frog called ninja and a desert tree frog called roudy he feeds them all sorts of insects but mostly crickets, they love it and roudy gets his name from croaking in the middle of the night...

Re: CSers Pets
Adopted a bucket load of them at Lake Tinaroo a couple of weeks back (assume its Red Claw or similar). Little guys seem to go for almost anything. We placed a smorgasbord of leftovers in the 4 or 5 pots and ended up with lots of...... "pets.".. :

Re: CSers Pets
we used to catch them as kids too, we either spot lighted them with wire baskets at night or tied meat in a 5 gallon drum with holes in the bottom and some hay band tied to the handle threw it in the dam for 20 or so minutes and then simply pulled it in, the rushing water through the drum would keep them in there, not as much fun as spot lighting them but very effective though and they are still good tucker any day of the week, we started with one but now have 3, we had 4 but one became tucker for another and i am also losing fish at an astounding rate, they really love live fish. the fish sleep on the bottom of the tank at night, the yabbies simply walk up to them and hold their gills shut which consequently drowns them, just like that and then there is one fish less. I really dont mind as long as they leave my silver and rainbow sharks and striped eel alone and eat the others.

Re: CSers Pets
Not enough meat in one... Now half a dozen on fresh damper would be nice...
Sorry...
As an old bushy they were great to catch as a kid and good tucker.

Re: CSers Pets
couldnt get the woofer to sit still long enough so i shook poor old dozer out of his hollow log in the fish tank and bunged him on the floor for a photo shoot, he was not amused in the slightest.

Re: CSers Pets
Yes he is Mal and quite the watch dog he doesnt seem to sleep through the night you can here him pacing around on the hard floor, watching out the front windows.
The downside of owning a spitz type breed is all the fur around the house.
