Re: Hi! Im new here. Go easy on me!
Hi all,
In November I decided to get an espresso machine so I could make decent coffee at home. I had a bunch of credit card points I was going to buy it with so based on the available options I started researching the models. Coffeesnobs reviews came up in the search results on google and I have been reading the forums ever since. I had no idea how much was involved in making a good cup of coffee!
I ended up getting the Sunbeam EM6910 & EM0450 about a week ago. Thanks to the forum sponsors section I also discoved that Veneziano is just around the corner from where I do martial arts. They open again today so Ill be dropping in there later this week to try some fresh beans since Ive used supermarket ones the last week. Probably not a bad thing since I wasted a few trying to get my dose/tamp, etc. right. Still havent got there yet, but thanks to threads like those that Shot_Gun started I at least understand the adjustments I need to make to get a good shot. Ill get there eventually, and in the mean time my over/under extracted coffees still taste a lot better than instant.
Cheers
James
