Good one, Maccas chicka! Thats a goal for the Mac team!

I havent seen the Maccas ad, but I have seen the tarp banners strung outside Maccas advertising McCafe and showing a coffee with a messy swirl on top in place of latte art. Very honest, I thought. But that Gloria Jeans ad is stretching the realms of reality a tad! Has anyone ever in the history of GJ ever seen a hart poured on their coffee?!!!? Your lucky if the child making it doesnt give u kurdled milk over burnt beans and send u desperately grasping for the sugar sachets! :

Last year I was down in Hobart, at one of the shopping centres, and it was GJs or something else that didnt look too promising, and besides I wanted to see if their coffee was the same as the other GJs store I had bought from.
However I was pleasantly surprised by the latte art,
cant remember what exactly it was, but it wasnt bad art,......
pity about the taste though, it was still awfull.

No offence to anyone but i wont be sending my money to "hill song" not now, prob not ever!!! That is unless a miracle occurs and they start doing what churches should do.
Thats an interesting observation. Im not connected to hillsong, but I know there are a couple of people around here who are ... What is it that churches should be doing?

I also havent seen the Maccas add, would love to see it if someone can locate it.

As far as gloria jeans go though you wont catch me there no matter how swanky their add is... No offence to anyone but  i wont be sending my money to "hill song" not now, prob not ever!!! That is unless a miracle occurs and they start doing what churches should do.

Totally agree... Did you see all the testimonials for the company that went with that clip?

    Their coffee is crap too.

Just saw this ad, and was NOT impressed... horrible bubbly milk and the cappuccino that they pour in the ad has gruesome looking foam on top, not silky milk like it should.
Yes, horrible ad that...and I agree...but that is the way HQ show them how to do it.

I am actually training a young lass at the moment and she commented today about how well I have shown her the proper way to froth milk. Every pour that she has done has been excellent and I have had customers compliment her about the coffee.

    Makes me proud.... [smiley=happy.gif]

youre right, that looks divine. and when were in sth africa Gloria Jeans was hands down THE BEST coffee we had on the whole trip, so I cant dismiss them - they were a beacon of hope to us poor travellers and will always have that association with me... (except of course when Im at Indro and can choose from a dozen places to buy a coffee)

If only most cafes could pull shots to the standard this ad does.

mmm the Gloria Jeans ad is not bad! I noticed this bloke on tv with a Compak hopper behind him...didnt listen to what he was saying...just interested in the Compak behind him...then I realised it was a GJ commercial...it wasnt bad. Show a guy tamping etc.

Just saw this ad, and was NOT impressed... horrible bubbly milk and the cappuccino that they pour in the ad has gruesome looking foam on top, not silky milk like it should. I felt ill watching it: hate to actually have to taste the thing! Gross.
