Re: Beanbay user details page
I do believe that Andy / Julsajet may be correct. I checked it out on another computer that doesnt have google toolbar installed and there is no pale yellow background in the text fields.
Problem solvered, Dougie.... (or so it seems.... you never can tell with puters)
Thanks Andy / Julsajet
Dennis: Im still trying to figure out the link between birthday cake and user details... :-)

Re: Beanbay user details page
I do believe that it is the google toolbar trying to be helpful, ie: it will fill these fields out for you if you want it to.
Same thing has happened to me on other sites since my sister installed the toolbar.
Easiest thing to do is what Navarre did.

Re: Beanbay user details page
Happened to me too - didnt really think too much about it kept typing to the end - then used the mouse to highlight the field contents which made them readable.
Happens once in a while on various sites - but It doesnt bug me too much.
Im used to IE7 being cantankerous and put it down to that

Re: Beanbay user details page
It happens on my computer using Firefox and IE7, but it doesnt happen on my significant others computer and he uses IE7 - so suggest it is something peculiar to your setup. It wasnt a big issue for me, so havent investigated what the difference is between our computers.Originally posted by Andy Freeman link=1183639914/0#2 date=1183699815I still think its a google/yahoo/AOL or similar toolbar in your browser that has installed a "helper" for you.
Or maybe the colour depth of your video card.
Or very poor contrast on your monitor.
Or all the above!
...having already lost a couple of hours on this Im happy to call it "very rare" and will spend some more time on it only if this thread fills with "me too" posts.Admin will look into it (I hope!).

Hope that helps.

Beanbay user details page
Im a newbie member that has not yet bought a bean from beanbay.
During a recent attempt to log my user details on CS beanbay and thus get access to beanbay checkout, I found that most of the fields for entering my details had pale yellow backgrounds to go nicely with the white font, thus rendering the result unreadable.
I suspect that the fields are yellow only when first entering my details, and that once complete and logged it would revert to the familiar dark green. However it presents a challenge to log in, in the first instance.
This problem has been discussed with Andy Freeman, who was unsure if it was a problem experienced by all who dare to enter their details. Perhaps it was only a function of my unique browser (MS internet explorer).
The question is: Is there anyone else out there that experienced the same thing on the first occasion of entering their user details? Youve guessed it, this is a fault-finding mission. If there are zillions of CS that say "yeah that happened to me", Admin will look into it (I hope!). If not, either no one read this, or I need to use the old army highlight the invisible text and it becomes visible trick.Tags: None
