    Re: Election Post-Mortem

You are right about the quantities of gas Lucinda, unfortunately it is largely inert and therefore useless as a combustible fuel.

I have had the misfortune of drinking coffee at Parliment house a few years ago and what I can remember it tasted like something that goes with methane.

I thought there was enough natural gas coming out of canberra to fuel the mojority of Australia for the next 100 years or so anyway.
Its not what comes out of Canberra that is of concern, its what you send to Canberra! The ACT has two seats in house of representatives and two senators. Hardly any politicians at all!

It is a great place to live, except for all the people that you vote out of (like big brother) your electorates and send them (transportation, it used to be called) to Canberra for three to six years. Some seem to stay for longer than the term of their natural life.

            Thanks so much!

Darn it Pete, why resign just yet ... I was hoping to see an Abbott & Costello team-leadership as the new Lib blood ...

It would have been a less-than-ideal billing from that perspective!

Plus I get the feeling theyre not overly fond of each other?
