Of course quality v quantity comes into the discussion - 50 useful informative, helpful posts are a heap better than 500 or 5000 bits of electronic 1 & 0s clogging the information superhighway many forums disable the post count for this very reason it removes the belief that post count equals knowledge on the subject and seems to stop the me too posts to increase the number.
I long ago though, got over the personal "need" for a high post count.
I admin another forum and a high count there reminds me of how much work Ive done.
I would hope that my posts are considered worthy and not just "bits of electronic 1 & 0s clogging the information superhighway".
Ill admit to some being frivolous, but we are here to have fun.
A lot of mine can be short; I like to call them succinct.
Once you get to know my writing style youll realise that there can be a lot more behind the words.
Im a firm believer in people understanding better if they think a bit for themselves instead of being handed an answer lock stock and barrel.

apart from the very occasional jest, either by a member him/her self or by someone else to remind them of their count i have not seen anyone "pumping" his or her post counts on CS.
nor have i seen any evidence of "me too" posts here on CS... if there have been "irrelevant" postings, they have mostly been in the form of "chit-chat", which is, quite honestly, the charm of this forum. 8-)
i do not profess to contribute essential technical know-how to the discussions here; as far as i am concerned the tech tag-teams of Mal, JB, TG, (dont mean to offend if i dont mention all of you... ) the pro-sponsors and tradies et.al. do a splendid job in that.
my score card is quite light on the "useful, informative, helpful posts", but i believed my (clear-thinking, spell checked, sometimes irreverent but reasonably correct qua idiom and grammar) posting membership of the active CS community was in itself a worthwhile contribution.... :-/
better limit my posts to the only topic i am fully conversant, knowledgeable and experienced with: "off topic".....
Ditto Mal, Lizzi it takes all types to create the character of CS, not just the experts. An amateur whos capable of rational thinking can sometimes see things in the big picture the experts may miss in their focus on the details (I remember years ago making some Dick Smith kits and once my Mum whos hardly an electronics whiz was able to find the problem just cos she looked at it with fresh eyes). Plus, a dash of humour and pinch of sarcasm keep us all from growing dull! ;D
as you can see from my seriously impressive post count, i have some weight to throw around here... I would just like to say, ive read through the odd forum or two before, but this place is the best ive ever come accross.
theres been no foul language to speak of, which is amazing for a forum as far as ive seen, and everyone seems to have something pretty worthwhile to say.
so good on yas all!!
maybe its cos this is one of the only Aussie Forums ive read much of, its sometimes hard to get the info your after from a true ozzie site!
i am oz by the way, im up in the top end, N.T.
see yas all round some more i hope.
btw, Thundergod? is that your myspace page? i just had a look at it...

Well, cool space if it is yours, i like the commics too, ive always been a fan myself.
