The car is in Tamworth, my home town, and Im in Newcastle so photos are hard to take from that distance but I have a couple of average photos.
It has laid dormant for about 13 years after a slight altercation with a Cordia, but lets not talk about that. It is more of a restoration project than a working everyday car. Having said that, a coat of paint, new tyres, a battery and a filter or two and it should be good to go. I drove it now and then to keep the battery charged up until the rego ran out and I moved to Newcastle.
hey Stephen do you remember Tony Wilds 240Z that used to cruise around Newy, oh geez when was that : say late 80s i think from memory.
Used to remember it at Kooragang and looking from the finish line you always knew when he was racing because the headlights would raise a lot more than the leaf sprung cars
have you got any pics man - Im not gonna lie, Ive always wanted a 240Z to play with. I had an old 1982 Datsun/Nissan Skyline that I used to take apart and rebuild on the weekends for fun - gee i miss that car.
I remember a few years ago looking at a few 77-79s a while back.
Its more nostalgia than anything. I was only born in 1980 but my dad used to rally drive a Dato 1600 with twin webbers etc about 25 yrs ago, but had to quit as it was also his day to day car. Hes upgraded since then haha, Audi S4.
