Nothing to see here, move along fishinglizard, move along.

    ;-)

We did an upgrade and (as computers do) we had a little grief along the way. Mostly its fixed now with a few quirks on the backburner.

Can someone speak english in this thread, I have no idea what anyone is talking about.  I think it all means I can read the forum?

All OK now. Yes, cookies the problem. Feel quite embarrassed now for such a minor thing.

    Thanks

Andy. Excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this.
I have tried to update my profile to change my email address. But when I go to User CP, then Profile, then Edit Profile I am required to enter my password. This password is unchanged [by me, anyway] since I joined CS. When I enter the password, click on Confirm Password I get the response that the password is incorrect.
    Can you assist please.
Another matter is that I thought perhaps I could return to the default position by logging out then log in again. But I find I can not log out. Clicking on the log out button has no effect. This may be worrisome because I am thus always logged in and I am always on line.

    Thanks
Seems to be a Safari thing. I find that I have to reset Safari to log out...

    No real idea!

...but I think its at your end as no one else appears to have that problem. Try and clear the cookies in your browser first (that will force a logout) and then log back in.

Just remember that the password and login are case sensitive now.

[media] Tried that and did not work as you said not available

Just have to rely on links for now

    Your options are:

    1. make it a PPT powerpoint file that people could download
    2. Turn it into a PDF which more people can read
    3. just post the link to google.

    I would go for #2.
I think I have that option 2 PDF ? I am sure I have seen it
    Might just do that

    Thanks

You dont is the short answer!

If you could (and you cant) it would be...

    Code:
    [media]http://docs.google.com/EmbedSlideshow?docid=dc5qt26s_0c97xkwgg[/media]
The media tags only work on a few media types (for security reasons mostly)

The list might grow over time but at the moment we get what we have.

Oh, if you could embed <iframe tags then every spammer site in the world would embeded here in posts!

    Andy
How can I embed a google docks slide presentation to a post ??

This should come up similar to a media player but as a slide presentation player ??

    <iframe src=http://docs.google.com/EmbedSlideshow?docid=dc5qt26s_0c97xkwgg frameborder=0 width=410 height=342></iframe>

Ill turn the author tag back on too, if people have public viewable email addresses in the forum it will showtheir email address in the RSS too.
Their choice to have public viewable emails. It also means that any member of the public can click on their email button under their post to send them an email.

    ...I can only assume
    a. They dont mind.

Noticed that. I would assume that some part of YaBB hasnt caught up or there is a deliberate lag in recognizing status.

    EG: Attached pic.

    When I see post
    http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1232404374
on the list of recent, it gives the user margaretm - Ex Member, but if I look at the actual post, this is not the case.
