Well have to compare record collections one day KK
OK I understand it was getting a bit too off-topic on that other thread but did the new thread have to be "idiosyncratic"
It could have just been "CS Music discussion" or something like that so others can add to it without fear of being labeled. Its already too late for me :P

Certainly have or heard all of them. The Mothers Live at the Fillmore East 1971 was the first album of Zappas Id heard - Mudshark! Flo and Eddie were the singers on that album (and in the Turtles.)
How about Mott the Hoople, Santana, New York Dolls, Capt. Beefheart, The Stooges, Velvet Underground, Television, Wishbone Ash or if you want to go obscure: Amon Duul, Groundhogs, Family, Curved Air... I could go on.
Fillmore East yes I love it
You should listen to Just Another Band from LA (side 1 Billy the mountain)
Curved air = Francis Monkman (done some movie soundtracks)
Some bands or artists I recall but cant fully remember until I look at the collection

I remember the album and the song but would have to listen to it again to recall hearing it.

How about Its A Beautiful Day which was similar to Curved Air but more laid back.
Also love all the mid - late 60s groups: Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Country Joe & the Fish, Fleetwood mac (the Peter Green-led version). Then the are a few dotted here and there - I dont have the albums but featured in my adolescence - uni years: Foghat, Pavlovs Dog, Fischer Z, Budgie, ...

Apart from the super bands and artists we all know eg Led Zepp,
These were also great
Steve Miller, Cat Stevens, Slade, Little River Band, T Rex,
And we havent had many female artists represented
where do we stop
Newer bands I like are Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn
