Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

Ive been using Chrome since it was released, and I love it.  Its much faster to load up than either Firefox or IE.  It initially had some problems when playing video, but those seem to all be solved.  The only thing I dont like is that it still doesnt work well with certain discussion forums (Too Much Coffee is the only one that I currently frequent where I have issues, but Ive also found a work-around, so it doesnt bother me too much).

I made the change from IE8 to Firefox today.
Im still evaluating it, making use my very limited computer skills .

(Even though Google is the new Evil Empire) Mostly Chrome, IE7 fallback and still have FF for testing sometimes.

Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

            IE8 is just crap.
Since being guinnea pig at work i have found it to be the pig of all browsers even to the point where my default browser is FF even though i can only access our work intranet via IE, i keep saying no to IE wanting to be the default.
CS flies on FF but is like my dad behind the wheel of a car in IE ;D

Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

After microshaft shafted me again (in no micro way) by updating me to IE8 (which as above have stated is just the most crap browser ever, and is even slower than 7...which is a feat in itself), I have finally got around to installing Firefox.

Much happier with Firefox. Pages are zooming on by when Id still be waiting for my home page on IE.

firefox all the way for me too. just installed a plug-in called AdBlock Plus which, as the name suggests, blocks many ads from sites. really great.

Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

Im a Firefox user. Tried Chrome on its initial release on my old machine, but just didnt like the stepped scrolling. Stuck with firefox since then.
More importantly, new work laptop let me move to Ubuntu (& run Windows in a VM when I absolutely have to).

                      Firefox here
IE & Chrome both started out fast but after being installed for about a month slowed down considerably. Went back to FF

Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

Firefox here - when you get used to some of the little add-ons it makes it harder and harder to make the change to anything else. At least weve a little competition in the browser game to keep tings fresh, which suffered after the initial Explorer v Netscape wars of old...

Re: Firefox, Google Chrome or Explorer

Cant beat firefox I reckon - love it. I used to use IE and changed to FF a couple of years ago and havent looked back. Andy points out the only issue with auto updates, but they are very quick and its just the essentials, add ons you can say no to.

                          Cheers

You can always turn "auto updating" off in FF if you want to

I vote for good ole Safari on the Mac - doing web design, I havent come across a single issue with it yet, but FF doesnt like tables ( but Ive stopped using them anyway!) And IE - you think a company that big could get something right! :-X
