      Re: My first computer

I still have an Apple IIe stashed away, I think its in the attic of my parents house. At least the IIe is likely to still work, the Bezzera doubtful.

Yeah, my first was 16k. It was named a TRS-80 I believe.

These days, I think my watch has more processing power...and its analogue! ;D

              ...Yeah, my first was 16k...
16KB ? You were lucky - when I were a lad I could only afford 256B (when RAM was ~$100 per KB)

Its still in the junk room, on top of the Apple IIe - everything else in between has been recycled.

Ummmm...Im not talking RAM. Talking processor speed.
Before there was GHz, was MHz. Before there was MHz was KHz. Mine was 16.

And if you think that was bad....I lived in a paper bag... ;D (Bad Monty Python reference)

And 64 being less than 16?

Seriously, this came way after a TRS-80. It was 64KHz after all, wasnt it? Dont let the number in the name fool you, as is still the case today these numbers are for salespeople to bash unsuspecting fools over the head with. A Commodore 64 had GRAPHICS. Didnt get that on a TRS-80, only letters or grey boxes (It was a grey screen).
