Re: Rooibos Tea
I am supposed to consume liquids/drinks that are not diuretic
That excludes carbonated drinks, alcohol, coffee, tea, juice
I have been drinking water mostly
I hope Rooibos is not a diuretic but I have a gut feeling that it probably is
Anyway how does decaf coffee stack up ??

Re: Rooibos Tea
Ive had some good and bad versions. Like most things discussed on coffeesnobs, the supermarket purchased versions usually are not as good as you will get elsewhere.

Re: Rooibos Tea
I dont have an intolerance to coffee its because of recent surgeryOriginally posted by 5D7E6D6D66405B6A717C7E711F0 link=1300348980/5#5 date=1300406095KK, it is a pity that you have to go off caffeinated drinks for a while.
Unfortunately some of us may become sufferers of caffeine intolerance, allergy, toxicity or even poisoning.
So I will give it a go and abstain from coffee for a short time

Unfortunately some of us may become sufferers of caffeine intolerance, allergy, toxicity or even poisoning.
Luckily I have none of the above and can enjoy my 6 coffees a day without any suffering.
I cannot get the same pleasure from rooibos as I do from coffee or tea.
I hope that a short spell can get you back to normal.

Yes my wife got the Vital brand organic tea bagsOriginally posted by 69616F67657F7F636F670C0 link=1300348980/3#3 date=1300357382You can get rooibos as tea bags at Coles and Woolworths. I started drinking it when I was in the UK a couple years back as it is now commonly available over there.
Second cup was also nice with a little honey

Re: Rooibos Tea
Being south african : ) I know it well. It is a staple at home and cheaper in some cases than tea. Here it is "specialty"
You can get it as a rooibos "espresso" which I tried. It is ok, but just prefer it plain or with a bit of honey

Rooibos Tea
I have been ordered to remove caffeine from my consumption for several weeks
As I am a little slow in roasting some decaf beans I was surprised by my wife with a gift of Rooibos Tea
This is also called red bush tea and comes from South Africa
She got it because its caffeine free
For a first taste - Its not to bad with honey
Apparently they market it as red coffee as well ?
