I recently moved from a house with an NBN connection to one with ADSL so unreliable and slow that I tether to my phone and use the 3G (which is hardly fast). Painful!

A couple more tests of the Transact VDSL2 speed, direct to Transact this time, quite a lot of variation but still 10x better than I had on ADSL.

I eventually solved it...The OSX thing relates to the user profile. If you do a migration install from another mac, airport etc and take everything other than settings, it goes away.

I have first hand experience of this on 2 notebooks

    Go figure....
I've heard of this sort of thing before - poor performance on OS X when connecting to certain devices. It may be a WiFi compatibility issue between your mobile broadband modem and whatever flavour of OS X you are using.
Have you tried calling iiNet? They may be aware of the problem or can report to the hardware vendor.

Just been connected to the Transact VDSL2 network here in Canberra, almost like real broadband.
