And Hi Fi I hope. You cant have a workshop without a coffee machine and a real stereo.
Agreed. I feel a stereo thread coming on!

      You definitely have something there...

My Bike is an 89 Repco Traveller that I rebuilt last year - thats right, read em and weep. ;D

Its in the same room with my coffee gear, and my sound mixing room which IS my workshop. 8-)

        Colour?
Were they still made in OZ in 89 ? I think it was around then they went to manufacturing offshore.

I was riding the RT/Sport back then and before you powerhogs start laughing - I could break the speed limit on the flat.

Fair enough, only a month and itll be all go just take it easy, you dont want to become a statistic.
          I ride to survive

Here is my current bike (88 red spada) that has served me well and I will be sad to see it go in a month or so

Previous to this I owned a 91 zzr250 back in 2006 but it was stolen.

I wonder if its possible I am recognizing a certain dliapidated wharf in southern Tassie?  Cant remember the name of the town but there is a pub right across the road from where you can sip beer and look out over the whole thing. Magic!

You would be correct, that is opposite the Dover Hotel, group ride last week where we stopped for lunch, good roads down there.

Its red obviously, because red goes faster. Its a bit hard to tell from the serial number but it may be Taiwanese manufacture.

It was assembled at the prestigious Hoffy Cycles in Brisbane though, still has the sticker to prove it.

Yeah the only problem being you keep catching up to / getting stuck behind cars with limited opportunities to overtake....

                    Re: CSers and Motorcycles

Ive got an 05 Honda Shadow VT750 as a daily ride and recently also a 91 Yamaha FZR1000 primarily to give track riding a go.

Attilio, I think youre spot on with your observation of the link between motorcyclists and coffee. I imagine there are a quite few places that live or die by their motorcycling patronage, though most dont seem to fall into the snob category - they are just usually happy if its warm.

I had a red and white 7/11 (oil cooled)... it was a crazy flexy white knuckle ride.

The RG500 is just insane. GP bike with mirrors.
                        ;D

                          Re: CSers and Motorcycles

My first bike was a Suzuki RGV250 with carbon-fibre exhaust.  Learner killers.  Bad statistics on those bikes with reason. Band in many countries. I then moved on to the Triumph Daytona 955i.  Chalk and cheese.  The RGV is a thrill ride.  The Triumph feels like a car in comparison...smooth ride, solid and easy to ride...  RGV is loud (lawnmower loud), quick and the powerband kicks in at around 8000RPM and once you hit that powerband you cant wipe the smile off your face.  ;D ;D ;D I still miss that RGV250...

Good to see some motorbikes on here and that some of us enjoy our bikes & coffee! I should try bringing the two together by roasting coffee in my exhaust one day lol

I don’t have one of these classics and have an SV1000. I don’t take it out too often these days. I hardly commute anymore and saving it for the Old Pacific Highway or Eastern Creek. I’d love to do Philip Island one day.

My original post was a comment on classic styling (or lack of it) in the modern era, like a lot of topics it seems to have lost its way.
