Trying to get a list of subscribed threads in my userCP looks funny too but that might be my tablet's browser.
    Hi dabber,

Thanks for the pick-up on the date of birth issue. I'll stick that on my list.

Subscribed threads isn't something that can be ported across from the old forum.
However on a happier note, a mobile friendly version is on the horizon.

    Cheers,
    Dave.

vBulletin has some great thread tools and other features.
Any plans for an RSS feed ? (It is supported in earlier versions.)
      Hi Dabber,
RSS threads is on the migration path for later in the week. It's quite a useful tool.

      Cheers,
      Dave.

It was a shock at first, however in a week or so we will all forget about it and love the new layout. At the end of the day its the coffee we all talk about

          Hi Rho,

Currently we don't have the links to beanbay on the new site.. It can be accessed directly via the website http://beanbay.coffeesnobs.com.au/

          Cheers,

Too bright! need my sunnies...darker is better...I'd even prefer it if you reverse the colour scheme to black background and white lettering! Us coffee drinkers tend to prefer the dark I think

Just kidding, I think the new site looks that bit more professional.

New forum looks fresh, different, but doesnt look out of the ordinary. I guess familiarity will make it feel like home soon. Is there a way to change the colour scheme (some forums have this functionality)?

I noticed the new forum has a 50 PM limit. If the old PMs cant be transferred, can they be emailed to users so any info can be saved before they disappear completely?

edit: new forum easier to read on iphone, which is nice.

                Cheers

Not so much a bug perhaps as a quirk. When selecting 'Mark this forum read' it appears to mark all the messages read, but.....if you 'go back' on your browser the command doesn't take. You have to click on a link to go elsewhere on the site for the forum to actually be marked as read for you.

I guess we have to resubscribe to the threads? No biggie, but I notice there does not seem to be an option to get instant notification by email, only daily and weekly? Or am I missing not doing something right?

Also, some threads do not have pics anymore (eg the recent grinder fluro green refurb), is that because the images were on the forum (ie not linked to imageshack etc)?

                    Cheers

                      Hi Javaphile.
Going "back" is a browser navigation function. Most web designers hate them. You need to use website/webpage navigation to see the effect. "back" then "refresh" might work in some cases. I'm sure you knew this but like the rest of us you're overwhelmed by differentness. A coffee or two will fix it.

                        Hi

I'm getting this javascript code at the top of the forum, above the green logo on the ome page.
                        ); var sidebar_align = 'right'; var content_container_margin = parseInt('290px'); var sidebar_width = parseInt('270px'); //-->
and on the My profile page this:
                        ); } else { document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); document.write(''); } document.

                        I'm using Firefox on Linux.

                        Mike

                          Hi Mike,
Yeah that's an interesting find.. What version of Firefox are you running?
                          Cheers,

I've adjusted my screen brightness but I agree that a colour scheme choice would be nice...dark, darker and darkest...or CS9, CS10 or CS11! Just kidding. I think I'm getting used to it...still would prefer a warmer background though.

Incidentally I can't see a "preview post" button. Oops...just clicked on the "Go advanced" button and there are all the post icons as well as the "preview Post".

Thanks calaper!! Now that the hurdle of the initial migration is over, the polishing can begin.
