  • Nickelback just ruined coffee for me

I used to be ambivalent, now I actively loathe them.

I'm not allowed to (real) comment in this thread as my dearest is a long term paid-up Nickleback fan club member and has pre-purchased front row for their up coming Melbourne show(s)

Some great art (and some really bad barista acting) in that clip. Gurgling the milk in the jug then pouring microfoam was pretty funny.

Wonder who did the actual pours and etching?

Makes me wonder how far into the toilet Jason Alexanders career really is.

After some Internet research I found the cafe used in the clip...

            Royal/T

The place has two street frontages

            The main entrance
8910 Washington Blvd, Culver City, California, United States
            https://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=e...ed=0CBQQ8gEwAA

            The back street entrance
8927 Lindblade Street,Culver City, California, United States
            https://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=e...ed=0CBQQ8gEwAA

The start of the clip shows the back entrance side but when Brooke Burns enters she is coming in from the other side of the building. They did some serious editing to make it all look small and cosy, the actual cafe and gallery is huge.

Sadly the very funky cafe with fake grass walls closed down before they could cash-in on Brooke/Jason/Nickelback fan traffic.
            Royal/T

...and I still don't know who did all those cool etchings
            (assuming it wasnt Jason Alexander)

What a great video clip LOL

I might go looking for a portafilter holster now.

Wow, wish that my abstract, impressionism (code for bad) latte art impressed mrs mariner that much..... I'll have to improve my skills a bit more! Great clip.

Thanks Rick (and Andy for the background research) that is a very entertaining coffee clip.
Never heard Nickelback before either so educational as well.

You might have heard some of their earlier songs that were played on the radio pretty hard.

                    How you remind me

                    Figured you out

The most amusing part of it is that the first PF the guy pulls from his holster appears to be a pressurised Sunbeam (maybe Krups since it's the US?) PF...

                        Good get.
I had trouble getting the frame to stop in the right spot to see that group handle but it looks like it doesnt have a spring in it as the basket comes out of the handle mid air.

Not sure that Coffee Shop Investigators would have the same ratings pull (sorry, terrible joke).
