That is a very unfortunate chain of events.
Hopefully Lady Luck has gone off to pick on somebody else.
Good luck with the job hunting.
You have to figure there's always a MM somewhere in the immediate future.

If you have no fines in the last 3 years and are <10kph over, you can apply for a warning in Victoria. I was able to avoid one this way.

Probably worth a check to see if there is a similar programme in other states.

Don't forget to mention you had both just been made redundant - that will help justify the 'momentary aberration' side of things.

    That's a good suggestion Procat.
"Momentary abberation"..... It worked for me as well in NSW several years ago.
As you say, nothing more to lose, but $390 to gain.
Give it a go Yabba and good luck.

Dunno if it works in S.A. but in Vic you can write to the relevant authorities and explain how you have not had a fine in the last 20 years, this was a momentary abberation and can they please remit the fine based on your good record. Nothing to lose and $390 to gain.

Imagine how fast you could have driven if you'd just bought a Black and Decker spice grinder.

Grrrrr, lesson learnt, don't take the wife out for D&M chats and buy what you want.

Bugger... $390??? Were you doing the speed they said? If there is doubt, ask for the photo - you ARE entitled.

Never drive for D&M's - find somewhere safe where you can both say what you want.

And now it is time to find what you can lie with (coffee machine, right?) and then maybe see if it will help you into a better (i.e. barista) job.

    Good luck mate...

    SOOOO Annoyed

I like most of you dream of certain equipment, budget and stretch the budget to get what you can afford but still cant get what we really want. Well Recently I decided to buy a K3P although I wanted a MM Electric. As I had just been made redundant at work I thought it was the safer / smarter option. Well today I took my wife for a drive as she also was just made redundant. We wanted to chat about what we should do. Well I was a little distracted and while I thought i was in a 110 zone it was a 100kph zone and the boys in blue decided that I should add to the states revenue. Well $390 later all I could think was if only I hadn't taken the wife for a drive I could have used the money for the better grinder.
