It would be interesting to see what the ''cupping'' results are on those.

    Hi Shane,
Here is a picture of my coffee plants.
I bought them from this guy at the markets.
They are a healthy little bunch.
The beans are a bit funny looking but make a great cup of coffee.
    Talk about 'buzz'.

    Hi Shane,
Sounds like a great project. Nothing better than appreciating the "beans" of your labour.
When you are able to, it would be great to see a few pics of your set-up and the progress so far.
    Regards, Mark.

    started a topic Home Grown

    Home Grown

    Hi All,

I am new to all this but have decided to grow my own coffee, and possibly some cocoa as well. I live in the Melbourne area.

I have purchased 3 coffee plant seedlings (10cm) and 24 seeds, which I plan to germinate.

I will start them off as indoor plants.

I plan on building a greenhouse for them when they mature a bit more. I was hoping for 8 coffee plants and 2 cocoa plants. I might also try to get a few Catui varieties to keep indoors (they are dwarf plants).

Should receive the initial purchases next week. I will post some pictures as I progress.

    Cheers,
    Shane
PS. I guess this is the right topic to post under?
