  • New Member Introduction

    Hello all ,

I guess this is the correct place to introduce myself.

I live in Northern NSW and run a very small cafe out of a rural community centre 2 days per week ( the town is so small that there is not enough business for anymore than 2 days of trading per week) I have just taken delivery of my Boema A3 2group lever machine and am starting a slow careful renovation. It's not going to be a ground up rebuild with everything glistening in 2 pack enamel and new chrome . It's going to be a replace all seals , clean boiler , and polish the existing finish type rebuild.

    Anyway

I look forward to meeting you all and especially would like to chat with those of you that are interested in lever machines or have experience doing renovations

Oh here are some images of my machine Click image for larger version

Welcome to Coffee Snobs BML, sounds like an interesting project.
Lots of people with experience with lever machines on the forum (I'm not one of them) so advice should not be a problem.
Keep us informed as to how its progressing.

          Welcome!
I just picked up a single group boema lever yesterday and I'm planning to do a similar refurbishment to yours.
i'm looking forward to making a bit of Australian history usable again.

(I do hope yours is in a bit better condition than mine though!)

I am in awe of you practical people who just embark on these projects like it was a simple as - well - making a cup of coffee.
How do you get on for parts in relation to older machines like this?
Are they readily available? Do you use the net to search for suppliers?

Rather than make this introduction thread all about levers how about starting a new thread in the appropriate forum for that discussion.
