Ive heard there has been a tsunami in the solomons - beaches across our east coast have been closed, ferries out of service...not a joke!

    Mmm... yes.
All clear has been given for Tsunami warning now, but really, if you are relying on CoffeeSnobs for all your up-to-date emergency information, youre probably not really trying.

        What?
Youre the only one allowed to post funny comments?

Geez, it was just an observation. No need to get narky about it.

              I dont like smilies.
They take the subtlety out of a comment.

I will use them if I think theres a greater chance of misunderstanding, but once you guys know me well enough they become redundant.

I understood fatboys comment, but as a matter of fact many people today had not heard the warning at all.

So Dennis post may well have been a valid source of info.

Oh dear, Dennis, you are so misunderstood!! (place smiley here)

(And why is it that I have a loathing of exclamation marks, and yet find myself using them ad nauseum!!)

Thankyou Sir and you too TG - I really appreciate your comments, whereas mine tend to get me into trouble. Maybe I should post on what I do for a living and people may be a little more tolerant of me. After all, it isnt ezi tipin wif ur noze.

Ah yes, times were better when I worked in a call centre. Simply wore the headset at 90degrees - the microphone stem served as a stylus
