Ha, feels like I've logged in to the wrong forum, The Grey Nomads have endless discussions, and I do mean endless, about Napisan type products to use in portable toilet cassettes, sodium percarbonate is the magic ingredient, won't go into the reasons, but it does the job it's meant to do.
Seems any topic discussing bodily functions is of great interest to them, perhaps a regression to childhood fascination with the subject.
Understood, but I've seen prices range per my previous post. I purchased 1kg of the Cafetto Espresso Clean yesterday from my local stockist for $18; which is their regular price. I could have purchased the Evo from the same place for the same price.
Not bloody likely, even though the other components on the MSDS are 1% each of four different digestive enzymes that occur naturally in plants and animals.
But then I wouldn't drink cafetto either, the two main ingredients in it and the soaker are the same and they are both on the MSDS for the same reason.
Based on the price variances I have seen from different retailers just for the standard regular Cafetto 1kg; which includes prices from $18 up to $45 and everywhere in between, I'd suggest you could find the Evo version in some places for less than the regular in other places; although I have no idea as to any benefits of it over the regular.
If the Evo is not as effective as the regular Cafetto, I don't know if it justifies the price difference from my aspect. If it works as well, then I'm happy to pay the extra couple of bucks.

Out of interest, is there any difference in cleaning power of Cafetto Evo vs Cafetto Espresso Clean? The Evo is "The premium cleaner for commercial and semi-commercial coffee machines, using organic coffee. " I'm all for the environment but I use so little when doing my fortnightly chemical backflush, I wonder if it would make any difference to the environment. Just to follow up, I checked the material safety data sheets for both products and they seem to be made from the same ingredients:
3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS

for coffee/tea stains just put some in the cup with boiling water and let sit for awhile
my coffee mug that had the usual rings and stains around the inside are all gone
I decided to try it on all our tea-stained cups. I loaded the cups in the dishwasher, put the backwash detergent in the dispenser and ran a quick cycle.
Result: they were still stained, but it was easier than before to wipe off by hand. I think that qualifies as a fail. Maybe I should have used higher temp/longer time. Dunno.
