  • Warning to others - protect your Brita jug ...

Today my daughter (soon to be 3) decided to do a bit of cooking.

Unfortunately my Brita jug was sitting on the hotplate when she decided to turn it on.

I came into the room to find a bubbling smoldering mass of Brita jug ... slowly melting down into an unrecognizeable mess! :-[ :-[

Fortunately I had just filled the Minore - so coffee production wasnt compromised!

Did you manage to save the filter part or did it get damaged too?

Fortunately the cartridge was ok - which was good as I only changed it 2 days ago

Peace reigns in the house - jug has been replaced, and one stove guard on order so she cant do it again. More concerned about little hands touching the hotplates ...

Its amazing how one partial thickness burn will forever remind kiddies that hotplates are indeed hot! Ahhh the brutal realities of growing up. Makes you glad to be part of the human race. Scarred! But still alive and kicking

My soon to be 1 yr old insists on going down the stairs face first - no matter how many times we show him otherwise!!!  Its not pretty.

I think he falls into the category of "act first, think later (if at all)"

If he keeps that activity up it seems he will certainly fall into something.....
