My weight has a propensity go up and down by 4 or 5 kilograms in one or two weeks. I suffer from fluid retention and I've read this web site:
Fluid retention | Better Health Channel
One thing it says under the heading "Self-care options for fluid retention" is "Cut back on dehydrating drinks such as tea, coffee and alcohol." I normally have a few coffees during the day and I'll have tea at night. Should I cut right back on coffee and tea or would it help if I drink at least one litre of water per day? The web site said it actually helps to drink more water as the body doesn't retain fluid when it's properly hydrated.
I'm in a couple of walking groups so I'm currently walking with them up to 3 times per week. I read that exercise helps with fluid retention.
Thanks.
