Excessive calories make you fat. The source is less important

Chocolate source is worse than soy source, though.

Suspect soy sauce would be pretty unhealthy taken at the same calories as chocolate sauce :-)

As was said earlier, everything in moderation is the key.
Take control of your hand to mouth exercises or your gonna look like this.

Morning SBM, haven't heard from you in a while! trust all is OK?

Chocolate is good, soy sauce is good, salt and sugar, both essential part of a healthy diet, once again, in moderation.
Yet to try the maple coffee glazed bacon, sounds good though.

That's partly true, but not all calories are equal.

Your right, however to consume the same calorific value in soy that you would get from 100 grams of dark chocolate you would need to consume approx 1 litre of soy sauce, I somehow doubt many of us would do that.

100 grams soy approx 50 calories, 100 grams dark chocolate 546 calories, not difficult to work out.

I keep saying it, everything in moderation, or, your gonna look like this.

Your right to a point, however it cant be argued, at the end of the day its the quantity you consume, the message seem not to be getting through, if ya keep stuffin it in your gonna look like this.

                    What can't be argued?

Overeating will lead to weight gain.

G'day Yelta! What started as a harmless source / sauce joke has lead us down the slippery slope of google image searches!!!

things are good for me thanks. I'm going to say something about my recently begun roasting journey. Hope you're well.

As for the topic, I'm one of those people that just doesn't get "fat" no matter what I eat. I am one of those slight people with perhaps an overly active nervous system ( I doubt coffee helps ). I know a few people like me. A bit jittery (not excessively ) & thin without being particularly active & with a good but not excellent diet.

bacon & eggs: you're alright by me!

If I was motivated enough I would love bacon and eggs for breakfast but it's like another half hour in the morning and I just can't justify losing an extra half hour of sleep.

To continue the thread drift - I'm not averse to the occasional cooked breakfast, but would choose good jam or marmalade with sourdough toast and really good butter nine times out of ten.

Couldn't imagine anything worse than a low carb/high protein/high fat diet. You can keep your ketosis thanks
