    LOL your words or theirs!?

    All my own original work.

Like your name! honoured to have you among us, do you come bearing gifts of frankincense and myrrh?

    • Chuffed to hear it!

It's a pleasure being amongst folk possessing such a staggering fount of knowledge. I know a lot more than I did about a month ago, however I've barely scratched the surface.

Believe it or not, I sometimes keep extracts of frankincense and myrrh at home. I find them comforting (although not quite as comforting as the sexy aroma of freshly roasted espresso).

Or just eat a curry or some food with turmeric in it. I'm all for experimenting and trying new stuff, but the constant crossing over of things that don't really go together just gets tiresome.

        • Didn't you hear, Leroy?

It's achingly fashionable these days to be seen sitting at some next-big-thing hybrid cafe/O.C.D. health food joint with a Hitler Youth haircut, tattooed-covered arms, a handlebar moustache, and hip crossbar sunglasses (more "things that don't really go together"), while sipping the big Turmeric Daddy!

Which is precisely why I refuse to be fashionable.

          • 'Fashion' serves a purpose, it's there to amuse people and stimulate a range of industries that supply the Retail sector.
Most people grow out of it eventually.
I did when I got married and had kids. I wasn't interested anymore and I couldn't afford it anyhow.
It's still good for amusement even if you don't participate.

Couldn't agree more. I was being facetious.

Saw this and thought I'd try making one just for fun (no recipe or anything). Not the worst thing I've tasted but not a patch on coffee and the latte art was harder. Probably be better with almond milk than the cow's milk I used :-)

Putting lipstick on a pig is usually a thankless task, but well done for trying.

                  • Missus makes a fruit/vegetable "soup" for breakfast - Kale, Spinach, fresh fruit, Yogurt, etc. I throw some chopped strawberries, nuts, muesli, ginger in as well.
Lately she has been putting some Turmeric in as well. I can't say it improves the flavor.

My wife tried a Golden Latte in a good cafe. The best thing to be said about it is that it's a pretty drink. My wife couldn't / didn't finish it. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) there's no coffee in it.
