    The beat up over Sam Armytage and her choice of clothing by the Daily Mail is deplorable, no I'm not a fan, don't even watch the show, regardless, no one should be subjected to this sort of harassment.

      Perhaps this will go some way toward balancing the the piece in the Mail, though I doubt Mail readers would get past the first word with more than a single syllable.

        Don't know either of these people but I would suggest that the general standard of journalism these days (been that way for a long time) is deplorable and unfortunately reflects the demands of their employers who just want to sell newspapers/attract mass viewers of the lowest common denominator.
        Where do you go for impartial/unbiased news these days? Even the newspaper reports/articles of general news are full of bias, let alone any "feature" articles.
        I never see an article that just reports the facts.
        Even ABC programs like Q&A get accused of bias but whatever program, I just switch off if I think I am being sold propaganda.
        I don't want "news" that supports my own bias, I want facts so I can make a reasoned judgement.

            Whilst i agree that this style of "reporting" is tasteless and sensationalist the masses have voted with their wallets. Fact is this is where the profitable "news" is these days.

              So! the Daily Mail has issued an apology to Sam Armytage over the article (ain't it surprising what the threat of legal action can achieve)

              However the SMH has no compunctions about perpetuating the story.

                Perhaps the line should read (Fact is this is where the profitable "gossip" is these days.) factual has been replaced by creative journalism.
