Fell??? Hahaha. Got a good laugh from the mental picture of that.

Can't and won't hold that against you. Sometimes the rage has to come out (and I'm assuming what your post indicated is that you physically trashed your lawnmower up and down the yard, kicking and screaming all the way for good measure).

I've done that to several of my sculptures at home. But it doesn't matter. They came with the digs, and I hated them anyway. Damn right, it was therapeutic.

I suppose beating the living piss out of someone deserving of the accolade can be therapeutic too (in appropriate situations, of course).
No not the mower, the edger. I battled it for months and finally one day I dropped it, unfortunately for it there was downward pressure, then I picked it up and dropped it again.....that's when the engine came away....the it fell into the wheelie bin & I took s drive to Bunnings and bought a replacement.

lts face it.....I really showed it

Anyway, my machine was probably only worth 1/100th of his racket.

if i was on tv, I would have trashed after the show, why make a public twat of yourself when you can do it in private or better more, not at all.

Absolutely. I should point out, I'm glad I'm a 'nobody' & don't have Mr Murdock so called reporters following me around. There was thins one time my whipper snippet wouldn't start & I started off having words with it before it fell down the yard, once or twice where the motor separated from its body. I'm glad 60 minutes wasn't nearby filming the episode.

In fact, some years back there was a bit of jostling outside one of my local pubs in Perth. One guy pushed the other, who pushed him back, who got king hit in return. But it wasn't even the king hit that did the damage. It was the fact that the victim lost his balance, toppled over, hit his head on the curb, and died soon thereafter.

That's all it takes, and it normally happens in the blink of an eye before there's anything that can be done. And even if the guy who threw the punch managed to skirt jail time, he'll have to live with the incident replaying in his head for the rest of his life. I certainly wouldn't want that on my conscience.

    Stupid, stupid, stupid!

A few KM's up the road I saw them all stopped in a rest area bragging about incredible feats, so I stopped to chat to them. I stayed long enough to explain to them there's 2 types of motorcyclists. There's old motorcyclists and bold motorcyclists but there's no Old Bold motorcyclists.

What I'm suggesting is simply this, if young Nicholas can't behave on the court, there's a fair chance he can't behave in other places, this could land him in strife, young Tomic could advise him about that.

You may doubt what I'm saying but eventually you'll realise I'm right, eventually Young Nicholas might realise too, the sooner the better.
Understood, Smee. Was just saying, I like your humour. It was a compliment.

Agreed - if you're someone prone to shooting your mouth off, it could very well spill over into a pub situation. I'm sure there's a lot of people who'd love to smash his head in, regardless of whether they've had a few pints or not.

I know I can take care of myself in that sort of situation, however I wouldn't whack someone unless they really, really, really deserved it. And even then, only if they attacked me first. Except other people don't necessarily give two figs about common sense, do they? A lot of them swing first, and ask questions later. By that stage it's usually too late.

Interesting little story. How did those young hoodlums react to your pearl of wisdom?

When I said it would be far better for him to continue his losing streak, what I really meant to say was that it would be cruel to be kind, and not as a punishment for his behaviour. I think he could really come into his own once he's been bruised and tendered enough.

Young sportsmen often throw themselves into the game with enough gusto to topple a rhino, but they can burn out quickly if they don't keep a long-term perspective and temper their stamina.

Yes, I know Kyrgios can give the umpire a hard time when he's angry, but at the end of the day I think he's really getting angry with himself (even if he tries to direct it elsewhere).

He's young. Plenty of time to age like a fine wine (if he so chooses).

If not, he's a great mentor/coach, his mind and a little maturity away from being great.

When he's on task, he is scintillating and I wish him all the best regardless...

Besides which Yelta, I'm critising from my ivory tower, who sits in armchairs these days?

I don't understand your attack on the forum members. Here we are discussing poor behaviour and for some reason you seem to being trying to deflect that.

Fact is, if you became famous, for whatever reason and behave like a twat, folk will talk about it.

Nothing said here has been said out of line with that. I'd also suggest there's a fair bit of maturity amongst forum members here, which is why the forum isn't littered with personal attacks.

Thats not you is it nick?

Nothing odd about it, as I said credit where it's due, Tomic made a real effort last night without any fuss, did you watch the match?

If Kyrgios can sort his demons out I'll be the first to acknowledge the fact.

Great effort by Tomic without the histrionics.
