  • "James Carroll Booker III (December 17, 1939 – November 8, 1983) was a New Orleans rhythm and blues keyboardist born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Booker's unique style combined rhythm and blues with jazz standards. Musician Dr. John described Booker as "the best black, gay, one-eyed junkie piano genius New Orleans has ever produced."[2] Flamboyant in personality, he was known as "the Black Liberace".

So many great tracks to choose from but here are a couple of favorites, I hope you enjoy them

          • Most know the Dave Brubeck number Take Five, Golden Brown less well known but equally enjoyable, oddball time signature.🙂

              • I still enjoy my R.E.M. enormously. Just listening to their "Reveal" album as I finish my last glass of wine for the evening.
Their early albums are my favourites but they hit the mark with some of the later ones like "Out of Time" , "Automatic..." and "Reveal".

"All the Way to Reno" is a brilliant track on this album but Green is my favourite REM album.

                  • Graham Bonnet is one of my 'finds' in later life.
Started off with his version of "It's All Over Now Baby Blue" and moved on to some of his other great tracks like "Warm Ride", "Since You've Been Gone", "Only One Woman" and "The Walls Fell Down". He started off in a duo called "The Marbles" and moved on to Richie Blackmore's band "Rainbow" and later, "Alcatrazz".
I have ordered this CD through eBay but a month later I am still waiting.

Not a name I'm familiar with Rocky, did a search and found this, pretty good.

                      • Apart from Graham's great vocals on this old Dylan song, an added bonus on this video is watching the (German) audience reaction.
                        They really get down (NOT)
I laughed at a couple of the comments:
"Someone really needs to calm that crowd down." and "Boy, those German audiences really know how to have a good time".
His version is one of my all-time favourite songs.

                          • Wonder how many of us recall this? Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66 were pretty big back in the 60's, had a big hit with this Beatles number.🙂

                              Yep, enjoy SM&B66...
Have a couple of vinyls of theirs. Listened to one just a few days ago.

                          • Remember that by "Brazil 66'. Liked the Beatles original more.
Saturday afternoon, just cooked, drank my wine and listened to Melanie, Gene Pitney, Roy Orbison and my all-time favourite Linda Ronstadt.
The standout tracks on those were:
Lay Down Candles, 24 Sycamore St., Only the Lonely and Blue Bayou.
