Is this the same friend who thought the best way of answering his question on CBA financial planners was to get you to post the question on a coffee forum?

Why doesn't he (or you) ask Amazon?

It seems a pretty odd question...but....there returns policy is here:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...?nodeId=901888

I suspect he'd be able to return it, but at his own shipping cost.

    But....ask Amazon.

It will be interesting to see whether they actually do stop taking orders, or whether it has been a bit of posturing. When other sellers and freight forwarders etc continue trading and collecting relevant taxes and duties at point of sale (as some have already been doing for some time) it will be interesting to see how long they hold out for.

A friend of mine isn't sure if he can afford something. He won't know for sure until next week, after the date Amazon in the US will stop taking orders from us Australians. He was thinking of purchasing something just before 1st of July but cancelling the purchase if he later finds he can't afford it. I told him just to look at other sites, that don't have that problem, but he says Amazon in the US has it for a cheaper price.
Working...
