Not at all about being physically stronger?. Because this term has been used in this conversation thread, I thought a bit of background on the term might be useful.

    "craven usurpers"

"Oh, goody. A discussion about psychology and evolution by people who show no knowledge of psychology or evolution" An erroneous assumption.

My last post here, will save my thoughts for interaction with those who are able to engage in a discussion without emotion and bias clouding logic.

Anyone who takes a good look at most of our major leaders realise they are either bullies or those who match the average IQ of their populations - which is 85 in the case of one major power circa 2000AD and probably still going down.

... or those who have seen the movie "Idiocracy" and realise it is actually a "near reality show" documentary.

If only it was so simple. Too often, craven usurpers will gang up on the fittest and drag them down. These degenerates do more to contaminate the gene pool than the supposedly 'weak'.

    Ps imho.

OCD, maybe the issue of 'bullying' is a part of this ?
There are people - bullies - who instinctively zero into vulnerability and try to exploit it. You saw it in the school playground and you see it in workplaces.
Then there is the natural human tendency - explored in psychology studies - to find a reason to "blame the victim".
There was also the Stanford Prison Experiment that explored relationships between power/authority, roles and vulnerability etc.

started a topic Dark Side Encounter.

    Dark Side Encounter.

In an unwisely candid moment Jodie Foster revealed, "look, it's terrible, I know, but weakness really, really bugs me, to the point that if there is a wounded bird on the sidewalk, I look at it and go: I think I'll just kick it".
This got me to thinking: In our evolutionary past, when we were living in small groups competing for scarce resources, any individual showing signs of weakness must have been a threat to the group as a whole. Is it possible that Jodie Foster unknowingly illuminated something nasty lurking within all of us to some degree?

Ps I'm a big fan of Ms Foster's work.
Working...
