Appropriately called Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD: a backronym if ever I saw one.

Guess this is a slap at me Herzog (the irony) some new joiners seem not to be house trained and need a few words of advice, others are simply not what they seem to be and need to be called out.

If you check the I'm new here thread you will note I regularly welcome new members.

Interesting observation Andy, had not considered this aspect.

I have to say we do an awesome job of dealing with it, even if you don't see what we are doing behind the scenes and you would be surprised just how much you never see.

We are also contactable, the easiest way to deal with a problem is to use the "Report Post" triangle under every post. That sends an email to myself and Javaphile and we typically discuss what we should do (ie: let it run its course or delete or watch or warn etc). We usually don't contact the person that reports the post (only so much time in a life) but we do deal with every report.

If you see something you think is wrong, report it.

I reckon the level of flames cycles. Unfortunately there are a few trolls that seem to love adding petrol and a match to any debate. Currently it is not as bad as some earlier times, however it is not entirely healthy either.

Like you, rather than flame in threads I just wish people would do that via PMs.

Viva la Difference only works well in a mutually respectful environment.

    Just my 2 cents.

Evening MB, my feeling is its pretty tame around here now, we've had some right old ding dongs in the past, all quite civilized now.

I do agree with your sentiments, sadly the few that need to take note wont.

    Increase Forum Drama of late?

    Hey guys/ladies/people,

Is it just me or has there been more drama in the forum discussions then normal? Understand sometime words can be misunderstood without other forms of communication in partnership (ie body language) but gee let’s all take a breath.

The whole I don’t like what or how you said it and now I’m going to take offence and get all sad about it then vent with my keyboard in a public forum is getting old.
Lets all be human use the PM and discuss issues in private so the rest of us can enjoy reading, learning and contributing without the drama.

I’m all for people agreeing to disagree but the recent amount people getting the sadsacks within the thread then turning into nonsense is getting old. Let’s keep it all adult and use the PM button to take disagreement offline for the sake of keeping the threads useful.

Happy to be told I’m off the mark here and not looking for validation, I just want to come here and enjoy my coffee

    Cheers
